Nest

Hello! Welcome to Nest,
the online database of life skills aimed to help you live independently.

Thanks for your feedback!

With the conclusion of the beta test of Nest, we're modifying our content to better suit your needs. This means the website will be under maintenance- and inaccessible- until we're ready to introduce all of our new resources.

We'll see you in March!

The content on Nest is sorted into three categories: Home Help, which includes domestic tasks like making food and household chores, Financial Literacy, which gives information on banking and budgeting, and Outreach, which links Nest users to other helpful sources.
Home Help

Food and nutrition, household chores, information on job etiquette, and basic health information.

Financial Literacy

Financial literacy, including resources for banking, credit and debit accounts, budgeting, and shopping.

Outreach

A list of additional organizations who help with issues such as homelessness, abuse, and preparation for independent living.

About Nest

Nest was started as an effort to help young adults transition to living independently. Inspired by a close encounter with a friend living on their own and hurt by misinformation, Nest aims to compile information on essential life skills from experts and make them easily accessible to those who need it most.
